The remains of U.S. Air Force pilot Major Durwood “Hawk” Jones are coming back home today.
The F-16 fighter jet pilot died when his aircraft went down during a training session in Michigan’s upper peninsula last month. Major Jones’ remains will arrive at Truax Field in Madison at 11:00-a.m. A procession will accompany Major Jones’ remains from the base to Cress Funeral Home on University Avenue in Madison for private services.
