A state natural resources committee is drafting a plan to control the state’s elk populations.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Elk Advisory Committee says elk cause damages to crops, property and pose a threat to human health and safety. The plan seeks to maintain a healthy animal population that benefits the elk while minimizing human conflict.
