The world’s richest people only got richer in 2020.
The 500 wealthiest people added an estimated one-point-eight-trillion-dollars to their personal fortunes. That’s a 31-percent increase according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. And, the those in the top five each hold more than 100-billion-dollars.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is now worth 190-billion. While Tesla’s Elon Musk had the greatest jump in wealth to 170-billion.
Chuck Collins who heads the Program on Inequality and the Common Good says the news “hits a painful nerve for the millions of people who have lost loved ones and experienced declines in their health, wealth and livelihoods.”
