The Wisconsin Supreme Court is once again side-stepping the question over government overreach during the coronavirus outbreak.
Justice Brian Hagedorn yesterday once again sided with the court’s liberals in upholding Dane County’s ban on indoor crowds. Hagedorn used most of his ruling to scold the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty for taking their challenge to the order directly to the Supreme Court. Hagedorn said the high court is the court of last resort. Conservative Justice Pagie Rogensack, however, said sending the case to another court would essentially delay and deny businesses in Dane County a shot at justice.
