The average cost of regular gas in Wisconsin is up about four-cents-a-gallon compared to a week ago. Despite the rise, Wisconsin prices remain among the lowest in the country.
Triple-A says the price per gallon in the Badger State is 1.94 while the national average is 2.15. A peek at pumps around our state shows us that the price at the pump today is a 1.85 a gallon in Appleton, Janesville and Fond du Lac, 1.89 in Madison and 2.01 in Eau Claire. Reports from the front lines in Rice Lake show 2.19 a gallon.
