No one in Wisconsin is going to lose their electricity until the spring.
The state’s Public Service Commission on Friday voted to stop utilities from turning-off water, gas, or electricity until April 15th. Companies in the state have been banned from ending service since the spring because of the coronavirus. This new order means some people will not have paid their power or water bill for almost a year by the time disconnections can resume.
The Public Service Commission is urging people to make payment arrangements now, so they do not get disconnected next April.
