Wisconsin will face a budget shortfall next year, but it may not be nearly as bad as first thought.
The Department of Revenue yesterday said tax collections for the last fiscal year, which ended in June, were off by only 112 million-dollars. Wisconsin lawmakers are expecting a two billion-dollar shortfall in the next two-year state budget.
