Officials with the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire have put up the museum for sale.
The officials signed a listing agreement with Commonweal Development to put up the facility on South Barstow for one-point-four million dollars. The agreement follows the signing of a development agreement with the city for the Liner Site on the north end of downtown, where the museum would be relocated in two years.
The Children’s Museum has been closed since the end of July for financial reasons. Officials are looking at several options for the museum’s future, including a museum without walls that would focus on play opportunities for children.
