The Eau Claire County Board of Supervisors is deciding how to move forward after a one-point-two-million-dollar accounting error was found in the Department of Human Services Budget.
The board was supposed to vote last night on a forensic audit to evaluate the department’s financial record, but the board didn’t vote. Instead, they decided to look further into what the scope of the audit will be. This comes after former D-H-S employee Zer Smith was charged for stealing from the department.
