An Eau Claire woman is dead after she was hit by a runaway tractor at a beach in Iowa.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office said 21-year-old Mercedes Kohlhardt died Tuesday after the tractor that was owned by the state rolled down a hill onto the beach she was sitting at. The Sheriff’s Office says the accident is still under investigation.
