The Young Professionals of Eau Claire are cleaning up Phoenix Park.
A new volunteer program, ‘Adopt-a-Park’ designates sections of public parks to groups and individuals looking for community service opportunities. The Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley started working on the east side of Phoenix Park this week by removing trash, picking weeds, and cleaning up the riverbanks. A spokesperson for the group says there are many members who enjoy being responsible for taking care of the park.
