Eau Claire County’s health director supports a state push for mask mandates.
City-County Health Director Lieske Giese yesterday said there needs to be a statewide mask mandate. As of now, the City County Health office currently only recommends that people wear masks. There is no requirement. She says a lot of local health departments would prefer an order from the governor or the state’s Department of Health Services that sets a mask policy.
