After cleanup efforts that included area evacuations and work most of the day, traffic is again flowing after an early morning chemical spill.
A portion of Highway 53 north at Interstate 94 West was temporarily closed.
The online alerts map at 5-1-1-Wisconsin showed there was a crash on north bound Highway 53 this morning. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northwest Region tweeted the north and southbound lanes were closed because of a semi-rollover and clean up efforts began shorty after responders discovered the chemical substance could be highly flammable.
