Construction on the Spooner Avenue bridge over Otter Creek in Altoona is taking longer than expected.
Eau Claire County Highway Commissioner Jon Johnson said it’s an inconvenience to homeowners in the area. The bridge has been closed since mid-May, and work was originally planned to finish within 45-business days. Officials say the bridge is now expected to open at the end of the month.
