A week from now, city officials are hosting a virtual water safety training.
The Eau Claire Parks and Recreation and Forestry departments said water safety experts will use Red Cross guidelines to provide eight lessons on swimming safety including how to help for a struggling swimmer. The Parks and Recreation program supervisor says the skills will teach people how to stay safe around the rivers and lakes.
