Justice Rebecca Bradley yesterday asked the governor’s lawyers if the governor’s order to keep people at home and keep businesses closed isn’t the ‘definition of tyranny.’ Lawmakers are asking the Supreme Court to end the order before the governor’s deadline of May 26th. Polk County Chairman Chris Nelson sent an open letter to the governor yesterday saying they know what’s best for their people. Nelson says the needs in Polk County are very different from the needs in Milwaukee and Madison.
Nelson says he wants the governor to come to Polk County and see that they are trying to keep people safe. Polk County has seen four coronavirus cases since mid-March.
