Protesters for and against Wisconsin’s Safer At Home order are making their voices heard. Demonstrators have been at the capitol today carrying signs reading “Open Wisconsin.” Counter protesters carried signs reading Reopen Kills.
In other parts of our state, away from the Capitol, people who violate the state’s stay at home order may be fined by the City of Green Bay. Police say people can walk their dogs and take out the garbage and go grocery shopping. But hanging out in groups or a lack of social distancing could spell trouble.
Authorities say the ordinance is intended to be used as a last resort for unlawful actions during the COVID pandemic.
