Tavern League of Wisconsin President Chris Marsciano wants bars, restaurants, and supper clubs to open up next week.
He says other businesses have figured out ways to open and safely serve the public during the coronavirus pandemic. Marsciano suggested all employees wear masks and gloves, all tables be put six feet apart, and premise capacity reduced by 50-percent. Other proposals included getting rid of paper menus, table condiments, salad bars, and self-serve buffets.
He notes eateries have to protect their customers and employees or else they have no business. Governor Tony Evers extended his Safer at Home order late last week until May 26th.
