It’s not perfect, but it is law.
Governor Tony Evers yesterday signed the state’s coronavirus relief plan. The law allows for Wisconsin to ask for more federal money for the state’s hospitals and eliminates the state’s one-week waiting period for unemployment benefits. The governor would only say that the package is a step in the right direction. Some first responders are upset with the new law because it requires them to prove they caught the coronavirus at work in order to get workers’ comp.
As far as our case count here, there are a few places in Wisconsin where the number of coronavirus cases are growing and those places seem to be our cities.
The latest coronavirus count from the state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said there are three-thousand-721 cases and 182 deaths. Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay continue to lead the state in coronavirus cases.
