The number of people coming down with the coronavirus in Eau Claire is holding steady.
City-county health director Lieske Geise yesterday said they have not confirmed a new case of the virus in three days. Eau Claire County is holding at 21 confirmed cases.
But, looking at the overall situation more than 95-percent of the nearly three-thousand people in Wisconsin who are infected with the coronavirus will get better on their own in a matter of weeks. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said the virus is a serious threat to only a very small percentage of the people who catch it. DHS updated the state’s coronavirus numbers yesterday.
So far, there are two-thousand-988 cases and 116 deaths. More than 31-thousand people have been tested for the virus and cleared.
