It’s a RUFF time of year for our local animal shelters as they see a bump in stray animals. Officials say animals are held for seven days to give owners a chance to claim them before they go up for adoption. Anyone dropping their animals at the department’s doorstep can be fined 150 dollars for abandoning or dumping of an animal.
