It was a little before 7:30 on the evening of Monday, March 9th when a Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding on Tower Avenue in the City of Superior. The driver was identified as 61 year old Donald F. Belanger and he showed signs of impairment.
A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Belanger was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with this being his 7th offense.
He is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 7th offense, operating without a valid drivers license, and speeding.
