Tony Evers signed an executive order calling for a special legislative session to address funding for education.
Evers says it’s time to recommit to two-thirds state funding to invest in schools, close achievement gaps and have the resources to retain and recruit talented educators. The special session is scheduled for February 11th and the governor wants to see some of the 250-million-dollars in projected revenue surplus re-directed for K through 12 education.
