The first phase of the new Veterans Memorial Trail in Altoona could be ready to go by the end of fall.
Crews say they are ready to start construction on what will eventually be a two-million-dollar trail and park. The trail is being built in Altoona after neighbors in Eau Claire complained about its placement there.
