A traffic stop leads to a 7th OWI for an Ellsworth man.
71 year old Thomas Michael O’Shaughnessy has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 7th offense.
It was just before 9:30 on Thursday night when a Wisconsin State Trooper stopped a vehicle on Interstate 94 for a traffic lane deviation violation. The driver was identified as Thomas M O’Shaughnessy.
A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that O’Shaughnessy was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 7th offense and for operating with a revoked driver’s license.
