Eau Claire’s food bank says it’s need for volunteers doesn’t end with the holidays.
Managers at Feed My People say they see a swell of volunteers around Thanksgiving and Christmas, only to see those volunteers fade away after the holidays. Feed My People’s Nick Bursaw says everything they do at the food bank relies on volunteers, so there is a need year-round. Bursaw says almost anyone can help, and sometimes you can help by working as little as one afternoon a week.
