DEPUTY CLEARED IN CHIPPEWA FALLS SHOOTING

An Eau Claire County deputy is in the clear for last summer’s shooting at a motel in Chippewa Falls.

The D.A. yesterday said Deputy Adam Prorok was justified in shooting and wounding 49-year-old Christopher Knyphausen inside the Indianhead Motel on August 1st. The SWAT team rushed to the hotel after Knyphausen said he had a gun. Prorok opened fire when the SWAT team entered Kynphausen’s room. It’s still unclear if Knyphausen had a gun.
