NO JAIL TIME FOR WORK PLACE THREATS

A man accused of threatening to shoot up his work place in New Richmond is avoiding prison.

Nicholas Cherrier pleaded no contest Wednesday to terroristic threat and disorderly conduct and was sentenced to a year of probation.  Cherrier was accused of telling his coworkers he had an AR-15 in his trunk and he was going to shoot kids.  He later claimed he was kidding.
