1,300 ANIMALS RESCUED IN PIERCE COUNTY

Authorities in Pierce County are investigating the seizure of abused animals and the possible link with a dog fighting ring.  The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office recovered over 13-hundred animals from a property in Gilman Township last week. 

It’s believed the chickens and dogs rescued were being bred for fighting.  A conviction for promoting animal fighting in our state carry a prison term of nearly four years and a ten-thousand-dollar fine.
