Young, single, able-bodied people on Wisconsin’s healthcare rolls are getting a break from having to find a job or go back to school.
The state says it is waiting till early next year to enforce a Medicaid work requirement. Lawmakers want to limit Medicaid coverage for people who can work but don’t, but those changes are being challenged in court in other states. Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services said earlier this month it is delaying the work requirement until the end of January 2020.
