The city of Eau Claire has just over 30 years to change how it powers the city. Eau Claire’s city manager yesterday signed a pledge to make the city carbon-free by 2050.
Right now, about 25-percent of Eau Claire’s energy comes from green sources. Part of the carbon-free pledge also includes switching to electric vehicles for the city.
