VOTE SET TODAY ON WI ACTING AG SECRETARY

We will know by the end of the day who’s won the latest round in the showdown between Governor Tony Evers and the Republicans who control the state legislature.

Senators are supposed to vote on the governor’s ag secretary today, but there are not enough votes to confirm him. If that happens, acting Secretary Brad Pfaff will be fired. The governor’s office and several ag groups yesterday all said they believe in Pfaff and think he’s the right person for the job. Republicans say they don’t like his management style.
