DEADLY HEAD ON COLLISION IN ASHLAND CO.

A head on collison kills one in Ashlad County.

On Thursday, October 24, 2019 at approximately 11:40 AM, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Ashland County Sheriffs Office responded to a two-vehicle, serious injury crash on USH 2, east of East Access Road.

A truck was traveling westbound on USH 2 when it traveled into the eastbound lane and struck a car in an offset head-on collision. The operator of the car, 40 year old Ted Sawaryn was flown by air ambulance from the scene and later passed away at the hospital.

A passenger in the car, 63 year old Pamela Sawaryn as well as the driver of the truck, 18 year old Noah Parett were also injured. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
