Feed My People Food Bank announces the successful completion of its $3 million capital campaign goal for building expansion. The capital campaign
wrapped up recently with a $100,000 donation from the Pablo Foundation.
Construction began in May and was completed this week. The facility expanded from 19,000 square feet to 45,000 square feet. Features include triple the amount of cooler space to accommodate more fresh product, triple the number of dock spaces to enable distribution of more food, double the number of pallet spaces to expand variety and quantity of product offering, double the volunteer work area, and a clean room installation which enhances sanitation for food packing.
A ribbon cutting event will be held at Feed My People Food Bank on October 24 th at 3:00 p.m. Tours and cake will follow a short program. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
