FIRE SAFETY FRONT BURNER ISSUE

Firefighters across Wisconsin are urging people to create an escape plan in case of fire.

National Fire Prevention Week begins Sunday and officials say having an escape plan and practicing it is key to surviving a fire.  It’s estimated that people have as little as two minutes to escape safely from the time the smoke alarm sounds.  The National Fire Prevention Association says on average 53 people die each year in house fires in Wisconsin.
