VOS ASKING FOR SPECIAL ELECTION DATE CHANGE

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is asking Governor Tony Evers to reschedule a congressional special election to avoid a conflict with the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah.

Vos said in a letter on Friday that if the election to fill the Seventh Congressional District seat were to be held on January Seventh as scheduled, then the primary would fall on December 30th, which is the last day of Hanukkah.  The Governor has not yet responded.
