Eight Wisconsin schools are on the 2019 National Blue Ribbon list.
The list announced yesterday is selected by the U.S. Department of Education and recognizes educators, families and communities that create safe and welcoming schools where students are challenged academically. Bayfield Elementary School in Bayfield, Cedar Hills Elementary School in Oak Creek, Lakeview Technology Academy in Pleasant Prairie and Marcy Elementary in Menomonee Falls all made the list.
They are joined by Star Center Elementary in Lake Geneva, Tiffany Creek Elementary School in Boyceville, Van Hise Elementary in Madison and Winneconne Middle School in Winneconne in earning National Blue Ribbon status.
