The season is
over for Christian Yelich. The Brewers’ slugger fractured his kneecap
last night in a game against Miami. Yelich fouled the ball off of his
right knee during his first at bat, and then collapsed to the ground in
pain. Milwaukee says Yelich will miss the rest of the season.
The Brewers may have lost more than they won in their latest
victory over Miami, but the win was important nonetheless. Milwaukee beat
the Marlins 4-3 in a ninth inning rally last night. The win moves the
Brewers to within one game of the Cubs in the hunt for the second NL Wild Card
spot. Miami and Milwaukee will do it again tonight.
