VOTE AHEAD FOR WE ENERGIES RATE HIKE

We Energies customers in Wisconsin will likely pay more for power and gas, but a proposed settlement with regulators in Madison may mean those rate hikes will be smaller.

We Energies, along with Madison’s Wisconsin Public Service, are asking the state’s Public Service Commission to move ahead with planned rate increases.  The latest proposal would have We Energies customers pay one-point-three-percent more each month, instead of nearly six-percent more.  In all, We Energies says it needs 100-million-dollars more from customers.  There’s no word when the Public Service Commission will vote on the proposal.
