UW FREE SPEECH POLICY UNDER MICROSCOPE

One of the conservative watchdogs at the Wisconsin Capitol is suggesting a few tweaks to the University of Wisconsin’s free speech policy.

The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty on Monday filed a statement with UW Regents that supports a formal policy for free speech.  But WILL’s Rick Esenberg says the school needs to clarify just what is disruptive speech and what criticism will mean for students.

Essenberg also doesn’t like the idea of expelling students who simply express unpopular ideas.
