Opioid Settlement Funds Invested in WI

The Wisconsin DHS is investing 31-million dollars in opioid settlement funds.

Health officials made the announcement Thursday, saying the state will get 14-point-five-million dollars from last year and 16-point-five-million dollars this year.  DHS says they’ll use the money to support prevention programming, reduce overdose deaths, increase access to treatment and invest in recovery services.  The state saw a drop in opioid deaths from 2023-to-2024, with the health officials saying they’ll continue to invest in helping those in need.
