On Friday, April 3, 2026, the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Eau Claire Police Department regarding a shooting incident under investigation. It was determined that the incident occurred at 3340 Mall Drive, located in the Township of Washington, Eau Claire County.
A search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed at the residence. During the execution of the warrant, investigators collected evidence related to the incident and conducted multiple interviews. Based on the evidence gathered and information obtained during the investigation, Cameron M. Blackcoon, 19,
was referred on charges of Endangering Safety While Armed and Intoxicated and Recklessly Endangering Safety.
The victim, Dakotah L. Blackcoon, 39, sought treatment at a local hospital for injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening. Additionally, two other individuals present at the residence were arrested on matters unrelated to this investigation. The incident remains under investigation. No further information is being released at this time.
