The Flambeau School District is out more than 24-thousand dollars.
This comes after Sven Pro failed to build a new sound system, leading Rusk county officials to file criminal charges against the company. The district first hired the sound company in 2022 but kept hearing nothing back, with the company blaming backordered equipment and promised deliveries that never showed up. Rusk County District Attorney John Cabranes filed a criminal complaint charging the company’s president, Isaac Svien, with theft by contractor. If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison and a 25-thousand dollar fine.
