Funding Set for Crime and Violence Prevention

Government agencies and nonprofits across Wisconsin are getting funding for crime and violence prevention.

Governor Tony Evers announced 15-million dollars in funding this week, aimed at cracking down on items such as intimate partner and gun violence. He argued violence has become “a statewide problem” affecting families and communities across the Badger State. Among the groups in Madison receiving funding include UNIDOS Against Domestic Violence, Journey Mental Health Center, and the city police department.
