Charges Filed After Man Steals Ambulance

A man is facing charges for allegedly stealing an ambulance with a patient inside it in Wisconsin Rapids.

Police say the incident began on 22nd Avenue South when Benjamin Feltz allegedly stole the ambulance while medics were attending to a patient in a nearby home. Following an 18-mile pursuit, Feltz was taken into custody after a tire-deflation device was used and the ambulance was stopped in Pittsville. The patient in the back of the ambulance was not injured in the incident. Feltz faces several charges, including disorderly conduct and operating a motor vehicle without consent.
