A Wisconsin Department of Corrections employee is out of a job following Morgan Geyser’s escape last year.
Officials say one staffer has been fired and two others were suspended following an investigation into Geyser’s disappearance from a Madison group home. Officials noted the two suspended employees have returned to work, but didn’t provide other details. Geyser removed her ankle monitoring device in November and left the home, later being found in Illinois. A Waukesha County judge later revoked her conditional release and she was placed in a nearby mental health facility. Geyser was involved in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing, when she and another girl attacked a friend to please the fictional character.
