Milwaukee is seeing a big dip in the number of births in city hospitals.
The Journal-Sentinel reports Milwaukee had its lowest number of births on record last year at less than 74-hundred. The number is a five percent drop compared to 2024 and nearly 22 percent lower than 2019’s figure. Wisconsin started collecting data on births and rates in 1990.
