A Dream Remembered…

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

― Martin Luther King Jr.

Wisconsin joins the nation in observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day today.

Federal, state and local government offices are all closed.  Banks, post offices and most schools will also be closed.  And there will be no mail delivery today.

A new exhibit is now open at Washington, D.C’s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. It’s titled “Freedom & Resistance” and gives visitors a look at the connections between the Black American experience and the ideals of American freedom.

The “Freedom & Resistance” exhibit will be on display until March 15th. On Monday, the MLK Memorial Library will host multiple events including a clay art MLK Jr. sculpture building experience, a 40th anniversary of the King mural and a special MLK Day movie viewing.

And, Nike is honoring Martin Luther King Jr. with a new sneaker, the “Honor the King” version of its LeBron 23 shoe. Tammy Trujillo has details.
