A man who spent decades serving as the PR director for the Green Bay Packers is being recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Lee Remmel will posthumously receive the hall’s 2026 Award of Excellence in June. Remmel covered the Packers for 30 years as a sports writer with the Green Bay Press-Gazette before spending another three decades working in the team’s front office.
He was also named as the first Packers historian before his passing in 2015 at the age of 90.
