The Coulee Region Humane Society is celebrating the release of a barred owl back into the wild after weeks of rehabilitation.
The owl had been in rehab for a month after first being found trapped high above the ground — tangled in fishing line. The owl was released on Goose Island where humane officers say it has an excellent opportunity to thrive.
